The sun, salt water, chlorine and sunscreen can be stressful for your swimwear and cause color fading, but with the right care your swimwear should carry you through seasons of fun! Read below for our tips on keeping your UPF50+ swimwear beautiful and functional. Take a pre-shower Follow good hygiene by showering before going into the pool, but there is another benefit to a pre-shower. Pool water contains chlorine and other chemicals, which are harmful to swimsuit fabric. If you shower before entering the pool, your UPF50+ swimsuit fabric absorbs "regular" water, and then there is less space for those nasty substances in the pool water to get in. Rinse well Rinse your swimsuits with cold water after every use. If it is necessary to wash your UPF50+ swimwear, always do so by hand. Fill your sink with cold water and add a little mild soap. Wash gently and rinse well with cold water. Do not soak your swimsuits because this is bad for the fibers and causes them to lose their elasticity. Do not wring out your swimsuits. This causes the elastic to weaken and will directly affect the fit of your swimsuit.
