The Light of Life

I was born in Thessaloniki. Since I was little, I liked to draw on all kinds of paper. Sometimes with colors, sometimes with letters, but always with imagination. The imagination that, in all the years I have been working as a kindergarten teacher, I have realized is inversely proportional to age. The younger you are, the greater your imagination. Fortunately, children are generous and give me plenty of theirs. Together, we have held art exhibitions in various cultural spaces, collaborated with renowned visual artists, and written fairy tales that have been awarded. Two of them have been published by Varfi Publications with my own illustrations: “Hands don’t hit, hands love” (1st Prize of the Primary Education of Western Thessaloniki 2014) “Watch your mind!” (Participation in the competition of the Primary Education of Western Thessaloniki 2015). My fairy tale “Crumpled Paper” (1st Prize in the 1st fairy tale competition by teachers of the Primary Education of Western Thessaloniki) is also published by Varfi Publications. Other fairy tales of ours that have been awarded are: “The Shield that helped and did not fight” (1st Prize of the Primary Education of Western Thessaloniki 2016) “Don’t cry Irene” (1st Prize in the Panhellenic competition of the Primary Education of Western Thessaloniki 2017)
