Pool water contains chlorine and other chemicals, which are harmful to the fabric of swimsuits. If you shower before entering the pool, your UPF50+ swimsuit fabric absorbs \"regular\" water, and then there is less room for those nasty substances in the pool water to enter.\n\nRinse well\n\nRinse your swimsuits with cold water after every use. If it is necessary to wash your UPF50+ swimwear, always do so by hand. Fill your sink with cold water and add a little mild soap. Wash gently and rinse well with cold water. Do not soak your swimsuits because this is bad for the fibers and causes them to lose their elasticity. Do not wring out your swimsuits.
