The sun, salt water, chlorine and sunscreen can be stressful for your swimwear and cause color fading, but with the right care, your swimsuits should carry you through seasons of fun! Read our tips below to keep your UPF50+ swimsuits looking beautiful and functional. Take a pre-shower Good hygiene involves showering before entering the pool, but there is another advantage to a pre-shower. Pool water contains chlorine and other chemicals that are harmful to swimwear fabric. If you shower before entering the pool, your UPF50+ swimsuit fabric absorbs "regular" water, leaving less room for those nasty substances in the pool water to penetrate. Rinse thoroughly Rinse your swimsuits with cold water after every use. If you need to wash your UPF50+ swimsuits, always do so by hand. Fill your sink with cold water and add a little mild soap. Wash gently and rinse well with cold water. Do not soak your swimsuits as this is bad for the fibers and causes them to lose their elasticity. Do not wring out your swimsuits. This causes the elastic to weaken and will directly affect the fit of your swimsuit.
