Sun, salt water, chlorine, and sunscreen can be stressful for your swimwear and cause color fading, but with the right care, your swimwear should take you through seasons of fun! Read our tips below to keep your UPF50+ swimwear looking beautiful and functional. Take a pre-shower Follow good hygiene by taking a shower before going into the pool, but there is another benefit to a pre-shower. Pool water contains chlorine and other chemicals, which are harmful to swimsuit fabric. If you shower before getting into the pool, your UPF50+ swimsuit fabric absorbs "regular" water, leaving less room for those nasty substances in the pool water to enter. Rinse thoroughly Rinse your swimsuits with cold water after every use. If it is necessary to wash your UPF50+ swimsuits, always do so by hand. Fill your sink with cold water and add a little mild soap. Wash gently and rinse well with cold water. Do not soak your swimsuits as this is bad for the fibers and causes them to lose their elasticity. Do not wring out your swimsuits. This causes the elastic to weaken, which will directly affect the fit of your swimsuit.
