The sun, salt water, chlorine and sunscreen can be stressful for your swimwear and cause color fading, but with the right care, your swimwear should take you through seasons of fun! Read our tips below to keep your UPF50+ swimwear looking beautiful and functioning well. Take a pre-shower Follow good hygiene by showering before going into the pool, but there is another advantage to a pre-shower. Pool water contains chlorine and other chemicals, which are harmful to the fabric of swimsuits. If you shower before entering the pool, the fabric of your UPF50+ swimsuit absorbs "normal" water, and then there is less room for these harsh substances in the pool water to penetrate. Rinse thoroughly Rinse your swimwear with cold water after every use. If you need to wash your UPF50+ swimwear, always do so by hand. Fill your sink with cold water and add a little mild soap. Wash gently and rinse thoroughly with cold water. Do not soak your swimwear because this is bad for the fibers and causes them to lose their elasticity. Do not wring out your swimwear. This causes the elastic to weaken and will directly affect the fit of your swimsuit.
